Pouch #68 - Calf hair and cross hatching

This pouch is made from vegetable tan cowhide with a hair-on calf hair front, and pigskin bindings. A simple design is tooled into the flap.  There is a hanging inside pocket.

Handmade powder measures

These are made from modified brass 45-70 cartridges and range in size from 30 to 65+/- grains.  They were inspired by those seen in Jim Webb's book of Appalachian accoutrements.

Small barktan pouch with horn and accoutrements

This is simple bark-tan deer hide pouch of two-piece construction.  The strap is made from cowhide and has a hand-forged steel buckle.  Along with the powder horn, there is a copper wire vent pic and a brass powder measure attached to the pouch.

Pouch with Double Horn

This pouch is made from textile remnants and has a repaired bark tan deer flap.  The strap is made from cowhide and has a small brass halter buckle.  Attached to the pouch by hemp cord is a double powder horn made by Tim Crosby.  Also included is a repurposed table knife, a copper vent pick and a homemade brass powder measure.










Hawk Carrier #3

Carrier for a pipe tomahawk. One side has tooled leather and the other a small pocket with an antique bone button.  Strap woven by Kris Polizzi.
