The Shandaken Primitive Biathlon is an annual winter sporting event using any style snowshoes and black powder muzzleloading firearms.  The 21st Annual Biathlon will be held on January 14, 2018, at the Upper Esopus Fish & Game Club, in the Town of Shandaken in the Catskill Mountains, New York State.
